How it works
Since 1997, Baxter Fitness has been providing its members with an exercise program that is medically sound, enjoyable, and has an inviting atmosphere. We believe that there is a major gap between the need for comprehensive, safe, effective exercise programs in the medical and senior communities and the resources currently available. At Baxter Fitness we meet with every new member, by appointment, for the first three sessions to fine-tune the program to their specific needs and/or limitations. The goal of the Fitness Orientation is to help members become familiar with all of the fitness areas and programs that we have to offer. We will help you orient yourself to the machines and teach you how to properly and safely use the equipment. We are always available to help you as you progress in your fitness program. Using movements that increase muscle strength and flexibility, the smart machines in our gym protect your joints and enhance balance and coordination. Our strength machines utilize air resistance, not big clanking weights, and our bidirectional aerobic equipment is the best and safest in the world.
Daily Express Circuit
Developed by Andy Baxter, MES, PRCS and Founder of Beyond 50 Fitness; our medically sound exercise program was originally designed in 1997 to work with knee and hip surgery patients. With endorsements from physical therapists, orthopedists and cardiologists to name a few, Baxter Fitness has grown to become a trusted, comprehensive, and effective fitness-building program for people over 50.
This program is considered the most innovative and flexible aerobic/strength circuit in existence. Bi-directional capability allows for improved motor skills and neuromuscular adaptation. This leads to increased endurance, strength, range of motion and reaction times; which helps with fall prevention.
Our circuit is accessible and is appropriate for those with Multiple Sclerosis, Heart Disease, COPD, Parkinson's, and recovery from stroke.
One On One Introduction
We will guide you through three 30-minute training sessions, to fine-tune a program to your specific exercise needs.
Our specialized exercise programs address the needs of each individual and are beneficial for Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Post Rehabilitation, and Stroke. We use specific exercise apparatus designed by SCIFIT and Keiser fitness equipment. A combination of aerobic, muscular endurance, bidirectional resistance, and absolute strength using closed chain, compound movements chosen to recruit the most muscle mass while protecting the spine, hips, knees,
Benefits include reduction of pain, muscle tension, stress, and the deep relaxation that is necessary for health and stamina. Techniques include Swedish, Orthopedic, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Therapies.
Safe and effective, yoga therapy is a strong, holistic "medicine" for mind and body. Using a slow mindful approach, yoga therapy combines traditional elements of yoga with current mind/body health practices.

Tai Chi Easy
Tai Chi Easy™ is designed to improve the quality of life for people of all ages– whether well or unwell. This includes those who may be dealing with disease, chronic pain and health conditions, limited mobility, deficient immune systems, anxiety or depression. Using simplified Tai Chi based on the four major recognized styles of Tai Chi, this program is straightforward and highly adaptable resulting in empowerment in self-care and self management skills.
